CHANGING DESKTOP ICONS

This procedure will only work for the desktop icons and not your cursors associated with your pointer.

1. Right click on your desktop.

2. Click properties on the pop up menu.

3. Click on the effects tab at the top of the box.

4. Highlight the my computer icon.

5. Click on change icon.

6. If an icon does not appear in the box in front of you that you want to use click on  browse.

7. A dialog box showing your hard drive contents will now appear.

8. If you downloaded any icons from the internet and stored them in a folder you can direct your search to that folder and choose on of them.

9. If you want to use icons associated with a desktop theme you have installed then you would need to follow this path: C:\programfiles\plus!\themes\name of theme you have installed(not a valid link).

10. Find the icon you want to use and click on open.

11. Click on ok.

12. Repeat this process for each of the desktop icons you want to change.

TO CHANGE ALL DESKTOP ICONS BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WINDOWS ICONS:

1. Use this same properties utility.

2. Highlight each icon you wish to change back to the original form.

3. After highlighting each icon, click on default.

4. Now click on ok.
